There are sixteen episodes to work your way through in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, with almost all of them having things to collect, people to rescue, and baddies to beat up. As you come across the Cameos that pop up in the game, you will have the chance to carry out a Special Request of theirs for EXP that will help you reach max level much faster.

Finding eight Disgusting Bugs for the Punk Frogs, for example, is one of many Special Requests that requires a bit more involvement than the others, as you must find four Punk Frogs before gaining access to their retreat, which will then allow you to find and turn in the Disgusting Bugs.

Before going over the location for every Disgusting Bug in Shredder's Revenge, we will first show you where you can find all four of the Punk Frogs, which will give you access to their hideout, allow you to accept their Special Request for the Disgusting Bugs, and turn them in once you find them. You can find the episode and location of each Punk Frog below!

The first Punk Frog you can find in the game is Attila, located in the fourth episode, "Rumble in the Zoo." Atilla can be found towards the beginning of the level, just before you reach the zoo's entrance. Whenever you step foot on the first street, fight your way to the end of it until you see a taxi, an uncovered maintenance hole, and a mailbox. Break the mailbox to find Attila! Finish the level and move on to finding the next Punk Frog.

Next up is freeing Genghis Frog from the sewers of the fifth episode, "King of the Spill." This episode opens with you navigating the New York subway system, eventually leading you into the sewers, where you will find the second Punk Frog. Once you enter the sewers, progress through it until you see an enormous vault door on the back wall. Give the valve crank a good whack to open the door and free Genghis! Clear the mission and get ready to rescue Napoleon next.

Moving on to the third Punk Frog, we have Napoleon Bonafrog, which can be found in the sixth episode, "Mall Meltdown." As the level starts, you will be at the beginning of the mall and will have to work your way through it while fighting off waves of enemies. Since you are inside a mall, there will also be many sights and sounds to take in as you progress further into it. However, tracking down Napoleon is quite simple despite everything going on. He's located just before the entrance of the theater, a bit of a way into the level, which you can spot easily by looking for a long red carpet that leads directly into the theater. Beside the theater will be a Punk Frogs display. Knock it over to find Napoleon! Be sure to finish the level before heading to the final Punk Frog, Rasputin.

The fourth and final Punk Frog is Rasputin, who is located in the game's ninth episode, "Crisis at Coney Island!" In the early goings of the stage, you will be on a long boardwalk with a scenic view of a beach in the background. You can find Rasputin on this boardwalk. As you traverse the boardwalk, be on the lookout for a hotdog stand with a handful of enemies around it. Break down the hotdog stand to free Rasputin! Finish the level to begin looking for the Disgusting Bugs!

After freeing all four Punk Frogs, the "Punk Frogs' NYC Retreat" will be added to the overworld. Visit this location to pick up their Special Request to collect eight Disgusting Bugs. After doing this, you can finally gather all eight Bugs, which we will cover how to do below!

Disgusting Bug number one is located in the early goings of the fourth episode, "Rumble in the Zoo." From the start of the level, continue until you reach the area with caged monkeys with a garbage can in front of the wall separating the two cages. The bars will also be bent or broken, and this section of the stage is found immediately after you encounter the caged tigers. Destroy the garbage can to reveal and collect the first Disgusting Bug!

The game's fifth episode, "King of the Spill," is where you will find the second Disgusting Bug. After progressing through the subway system at the start of the level and find yourself in the sewers, keep making your way through the stage until you reach the vault door you needed to open to save Genghis Frog earlier. Once here, fight your way forward a bit more until you get to the area with three large pipes lined up on the right wall, pouring toxic-green liquid into the drains beneath them. There will be a wooden crate with a red Foot Clan logo on it in front of the pipe on the far left. Smash it open to find the second Disgusting Bug!

The third Disgusting Bug belongs to the game's sixth episode, "Mall Meltdown." Unlike most others, this Bug won't be accessible until you progress through a sizable portion of the stage, so play through it until you reach the escalators that bring you up to the second floor of the mall where the Crystal Arcade is. Once here, fight through the enemies in the Arcade, then continue to the next screen. You should now be in a small concession area with a popcorn stand in front of a desk. Smash the popcorn stand to grab the third Disgusting Bug!

Disgusting Bug number four is located within episode seven, "Roof Running Reptiles," and can be snagged relatively early on. When this stage starts, you will be atop a building and need to dispose of several groups of enemies before having to cross over a wooden plank onto another rooftop. The Bug will be obtainable shortly after reaching the second rooftop, so keep your eyes peeled. Here, you should keep an eye out for a tall red tool cabinet with a small red toolbox on the ground beside it. Destroy the small toolbox to receive the fourth Disgusting Bug!

For Disgusting Bug number five, you will be heading to episode nine, "Crisis at Coney Island!" This Bug is found much later on in the stage, past the opening boardwalk and several carnival games displayed throughout the level. However, once you reach the games being played and run by Foot Ninjas, keep on the lookout for a ring toss stand and a "hit the target" stand with a closed shutter to the right. The shutter will have a Foot Clan logo on it, and a brochure display stand will be in front of it. Destroy the brochure stand to grab the fifth Disgusting Bug!

The sixth Disgusting Bug is found near the beginning of the tenth episode, "A Few Screwsloose." In the very early going of this stage, you will stumble into an area with a Foot Clan Soldier in a blue car in the lot next to a box truck. A trash can will be on the right of the box truck, on the opposite side of the wall. Destroy the trash can to snag the sixth Disgusting Bug!

Episode seven, "Dinosaur Stampede!," is where you will find the seventh Disgusting Bug in Shredder's Revenge. Like the majority of the others, this Bug can be yours in the early goings of the level and is found after you reach the storage area after you travel vertically for a little while. Once in the storage room, look for the iron maiden torture device on an elevated cement platform. The seventh Disgusting Bug is directly in front of the death coffin.

The eighth and final Disgusting Bug will be yours in the game's twelfth episode, "It Won't Fly!" For this Bug, all you have to do is progress through the stage as you typically would until you reach the area with tons of ice traps scattered throughout the room. When you're here, look for a wooden crate with a red Foot Clan logo at the bottom of the screen. Smash the crate open to obtain the last Disgusting Bug!

You finally have all eight Disgusting Bugs in your possession, and now it's time to exchange them for your reward! To do this, hop out to the game's overworld and visit the Punk Frogs at the "Punk Frogs' NYC Retreat." Once at the Retreat, you will turn in the Disgusting Bugs for 100 Points, allowing you to level your character up and get closer to the max level. If you are currently playing as a maxed-out character, you should switch off to a new one to give them the EXP. There's no point in doing all of this work for nothing!
