Black Sabbath idol Tony Iommi recently reiterated his open attitude towards music collaboration with queen rock singer Brian May, who happens to be his good friend.

What would a project between two influential guitarists sound like? This is anyone's guess, but Iommi has discussed this prospect many times in the past.

Soon after Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2012, when the Queen's guitarist visited Iommi, he and Mei first made this plan. As we all know, the Sabbath shredder has a bunch of guitar improvisations on hand, and after playing some of them for May, an idea was formed. "We will most likely find some ways to cooperate," Iommi later told the Birmingham Post in 2013.

But because the project has not yet achieved results, the Black Sabbath co-founder was asked about this in a new interview that appeared on Thursday (December 9).

"We've been discussing it for many years, and we really discussed it," Iommi now tells Classic Rock, "and this pandemic has messed up everything. Just before that, Brian came to my house."

He continued, "It was a beautiful day; we were sitting outside in the yard and playing improvisation. I played him something I got, and he said,'Oh, great, you have to do something with this "We talked about it intermittently. One day, it will be good to do so."

Mei “I’m really busy now, busy doing all kinds of things,” Iommi added, “It’s great that he has been active all the time. You can never say what will happen. It’s going to be great. Things are open, really."

One of them is Tony Iommi perfume, which accompanies Iommi's first rock song in eight years.

Last month, May apologized for his gender remarks, which he said had been distorted in the print.
